A personal trainer designs a specific program to meet YOUR individual goals. A trainer teaches you proper exercise technique. And a trainer helps motivate you, and guides you through workouts. You reach your goals faster with a trainer because you aren’t wasting your time or energy.

Personal trainers may charge anywhere from $30 – $150 per session (usually an hour). Rates are based on qualifications, experience, and reputation of the trainer. Hiring a personal trainer on a regular basis can be expensive – but it doesn’t have to be. Just a few sessions to get you started on the right track can make the difference between achieving your goals and not achieving them. Training under the guidance of an experienced professional personal trainer can set you on the right track and keep you progressing toward your goals. Online Personal Training may be less expensive and is a good alternative to traditional personal training.
Online Personal Training allows clients to have individually designed programs by top trainers for a fraction of the cost. After designing the program, the trainer supervises and guides the client by phone and email consultations.
A college degree in a health related field (exercise physiology, exercise science, physical education, etc.) is a good start. Because the industry is becoming more competitive, many personal trainers now have graduate degrees. Nationally recognized certifications are also important (National Strength & Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine, and American Council on Exercise, etc.).
